The measure device for measuring and control of light conditions of plant growth
Melich, Zbyněk ; Melich, Radek ; Oupický, Pavel ; Šolc, Ivan ; Klimeš st., J. ; Klimeš ml., J.
Šolc birefringent polarizing filter for more spectral lines Šolc birefringent polarizing narrow - bandpass filters are successfully used for professional observations of solar chromosphere. They are usually constructed to work for only one transmitting wavelength. Principally it is possible to design such filters to transmit more narrow – banded spectral lines. Filter consist of two parts: Frontal part is broad – band filter, with which, required spectral line can be adjusted. Second – main part consists of 26 quartz plates. Filter is designed for observation of Sun in interesting spectral lines: KII, HY, BaII, HZ, D1, D3 and He.
Scale invariance in the ionosphere
Šauli, Petra ; Abry, P. ; Cosson, X. ; Roux, S.
Scaling invariance domains represent domains where no preferential period of oscillation exists. Scaling laws always reveal an important property of the analysed system: self-similarity or multifractality. The observed ground-based and satellite ionospheric time series contain a mix of fluctuations of different physical origin (solar, geomagnetic, neutral atmosphere variability etc.). Description based on scaling features can be applied in the solar wind-magnetosphere-ionosphere interaction studies for further comparison of basic characteristics of intermittent fluctuations in solar wind, magnetosphere and ionosphere systems. Finding the similar scaling features of the solar and geomagnetic data in the ionospheric response might be a signature of common nature of the observed fluctuations. A comprehensive understanding of the scaling properties of the ionospheric indices has relevance for the predictability of the behaviour of the ionosphere within specified time range.
The influence of the 11-year solar cycle on the Arctic Oscillation
Huth, Radan ; Bochníček, Josef ; Hejda, Pavel
We study the influence of the solar activity on the Arctic Oscillation, in particular on its intensity and Pacific centre.
Imaging system for spectrograph with multichanell Šolc filter
Rail, Zdeněk ; Lédl, Vít ; Jareš, Daniel
Solving the problem of solar spectrograph telescope,we have made research of possible imaging systems for spectrograph with multichanell Šolc filter. We have decided to use off-axis unobstructed Maksutov telescope, which is able to meet our demands for constant solar image scale in wavelenght within 380 to 760 nm.This telescope provides good image contrast similar to apochromatic objective lens uses only classical materials. Diameter of the telescope is 140 mm,focal length is 2000 mm.
Measurement of the Basic Material Characteristics forTransmission of Chain Filter
Melich, Radek
Observing the Sun with birefringent filters is done mainly with filters tuned constantly on some interesting spectral wavelength. However, a new problem that solves tuning of these filters by a temperature change, meets a problem of a insufficient accuracy of dispersion dependences which are used for calculation of transmission at the exact wavelength and the exact temperature. Designing a filter that reaches an extreme small value in its FWHM (e.g. 0.05 nm) it is then very important to determine birefringent dependency with a sufficient accuracy. The paper shows the technique of getting such dependencies, then it mentions a mathematical process suitable for getting the transmission of Solc filter and finally it compares data got from an experiment with computed data.
Possible external factors influencing the occurrence of heart tachyarrhythmia
Střeštík, Jaroslav ; Mikulecký, M.
The second author recorded during 24 years nearly 400 cases when he was attacked by heart tachyarrhythmia. This appeared during the years more often, in the last year as much as three cases in a month. Only weak dependence of arrhythmia attacks on the season or on the week has been found.
Magnitude 3.3 Hronov earthquake on October 25, 2005
Zedník, Jan ; Hudová, Zuzana
The Hronov region was hit by a moderate size earthquake of magnitude 3.3 on October 25, 2005. The depth of the hypocenter was estimated to 5 km. The shaking was felt by many people in 31 towns and villages in the region and caused minor damage on several buildings close to the epicenter.
Solar and geomagnetic activity effects on the troposphere behaviour in winter 1981/1982
Bochníček, Josef ; Hejda, Pavel ; Huth, Radan
Tha association between the changes in solar/geomagnetic activity and changes in the lower atmosphere pressure, temperature and wind fields was analyzed for the Northern Hemisphere winter of 1981/1982.
Long-term period of the solar activity lasting 106 years and its connection to the planets of the solar system
Čech, J. ; Střeštík, Jaroslav
A secular period of solar activity lasting about 1172 years and its connection to heliocentric coordinates of the positions of the biggest planets of the solar system is being discussed.
Middle-term changes in the lengths of solar cycles
Střeštík, Jaroslav
In the published data of anuual sunspot numbers since 1500 and less reliable guesses of positions of minima and maxima of solar cycles since 200 B.C. middle-term changes in the cycle lenghts have been investigated. Data published by different authors differ considerably, the more the further to the past they go.
